Mix in strides to your training. What fun is it to run if you can’t go fast? I like to to do strides towards the end of my run, so if I’m going 45 minutes, I’ll stop and do some at 40 minutes so I have 5 minutes of cooling down. And the strides can be really any speed. Some days I go fast, some days I go slow. Mix in some barefoot ones if you can get on a nice grassy field. Mixing in strides makes me feel fast, which in turn makes me feel good.
PEARL JAM or NEIL YOUNG. that’s it.
Leading us through this week will be Mr. LBP. Here are two of his favorite quotes, nuggets of wisdom.
Never half ass two things. Whole ass one thing.
- Ron Swanson, “Parks and Recreation”
All good things come by grace; and grace comes by art; and art does not come easy.
- Norman MacLean, A River Runs Through It
Our very own LBP, with an editorial responding to the New York Post’s coverage of NYRR and marathon cancellation. Found exclusively on The Trailer.
